Make a Donation Now
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Great Falls relies greatly on the generosity of individuals to support the organization's annual operating budget. That's what makes it possible for our staff to recruit, train and support the volunteers who serve as mentors to the children in our community.
Donations may be made by check or credit card.  Every contribution is tax-deductible, and you will receive confirmation for your tax records. To send a check, please make your contribution payable to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Great Falls, and mail it to:

Memorial & Tribute Gifts
Giving a gift in memory of or in honor of someone serves a two-fold purpose. Not only do you commemorate and honor someone but you also help brighten the futures of the children in Cascade County.  All memorial and honor gifts will be acknowledged through a personal note sent by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Great Falls to the honored person(s). If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution in memory of, in tribute or in honor of someone, or to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, or wedding, please contact Big Brothers Big Sisters at 406-453-5521, and let us know you would like to make a donation.

Corporate & Foundation Grants
Corporate and Foundation grants are a vital source of funding for specific programs and for general operating support. Many companies will make grants to organizations when their employees volunteer.
If you are willing to help us present a proposal to your company, we would love to hear from you. Please call us at 406-453-5521, and let us know you would like information on becoming a partner.
Stocks / Securities
No matter what tax bracket you are in, making gifts of appreciated stock makes sense. Tax benefits for a donor who has owned appreciated stocks for more than one year are two-fold: capital gains tax is avoided upon transfer to BBBS and the donor can receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock on the date of the gift. Depending on your tax bracket and the size of the gift, there may be an opportunity to carry the charitable income tax deduction over several years.

Please advise us of your gift of stock by contacting:
Tina Cubbage, BBBS Great Falls CEO, at 406-453-5521, or bbbstina@3rivers.net
Tip - When appreciated securities are donated, you are entitled to a deduction for full value, not just the original cost.
IRA Charitable Rollover –
IRA Charitable Rollover
• Age 70 1/2
• Direct Transfer
• Not Taxable
• No Tax Deduction
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 allows citizens over the age of 70.5 years to make charitable gifts directly from their IRA that will not count toward taxable-income.  The new reform puts a $100,000 limit on these gifts, and it must be proven that the gift will in no way benefit the donor or the donor's family.  The IRA rollover reform is a wonderful opportunity for those who could stand to benefit from this tax exemption, especially non-itemizers, those whose tax exemptions disappear as their income rises, and those who give more than 50% of their income to charity.  For more information about this reform, please visit the Independent Sector's website

How to Give IRA:
1. Contact IRA Custodian
2. Sign Application to Give Amount or % to Charity
3. IRA Custodian Makes Transfer
4. If Specific Purpose, Contact Charity
Bequests & Planned Giving
A planned gift allows a donor to contribute to BBBS over a period of years or as part of an estate plan. Properly designed, it can generate a charitable income tax deduction. It can be designated for a specific purpose or provide unrestricted support for BBBS's mission-directed activities. These gifts are made in the form of trusts, bequests or endowments.
If you would like more information about bequests and planned giving or the benefits of leaving a legacy to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Great Falls, please contact us at 406-453-5521, and let us know you would like to make a donation.
